Imago Theatre's upcoming production, ZooZoo, is being considered for an extended run at the New Victory Theatre on Broadway in the 2009-2010 season. ZooZoo, Imago's hybrid show for family audiences, boasting the best of FROGZ and Biglittlethings, plays in Portland at Imago Theatre, 17 S.E. 8th Ave., from April 10th to May 10th, Fri @ 7, Sat @ 2 & 7, Sun @ 2. Tickets are $28 General, $25 Youth/Senior, $15 Kids. For tickets, call Imago at 503.231.9581 or TicketsWest at 503.224.8499 or go online at www.ticketswest.com.

After ZooZoo was announced, the New Victory Theatre expressed interest in bringing this newest show of Imago's to New York. Discussions are currently underway and, if things go well, Imago Theatre could see its third trip to Broadway within this decade. Imago's Frogs, Lizards, Orbs and Slinkys played the New Vic in 2000. After brushing up the show with two new pieces (Paper and Fish) and giving it a new name, Imago's FROGZ returned to the New Vic in 2002. Both runs were highly successful with sell-out crowds and rave reviews from the New York Times and other critics.

FROGZ, Imago's signature work, began in 1979, but it was not until the late nineties and early this decade that FROGZ matured into its present form. Biglittlethings began in experimentation in 2001 and opened in 2003. As with most Imago shows, Biglittlethings went through several revisions before it reached its current form. ZooZoo will include elements of both FROGZ and Biglittlethings.

ZooZoo will include the following pieces: Polar Bears, Bug Eyes, Anteaters, Frogs, Rabbits, Paper Bag, Hippos, Dress Caper, Penguins and Paper.
